HUB WINS AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD!

Congratulations to HUB Street Equipment who won one of the world's most prestigious design awards last week: the Australian International Design Award.

 

HUB received the award for their innovative 'Marina' Seat, in the highly contested Architectural and Interior category. The judges explained that the design embodied “sophisticated aesthetics, down to earth materials and robust construction, suitable to the harsh environment of use.”

 

The Marina Seat, designed by HUB’s talented in-house design team, was designed specifically for the illustrious Lusail City Development Project in Qatar, an environment where world-leaders in design, architecture and engineering have united to create one of the most world-leading and innovative developments in history - the Marina seat personifies exemplary design, high-quality materials and high-tech engineering.

 

Inspired by the theme of the Lusail project "Water is Life", the Marina takes its influence from the corroded, curved edges of the coastal landscape to form its sculptural rounded edges and seemingly floating structure.
